Medical expenses for my family who is coming from gaza to canada
Description
Help Omar’s Family Heal From War, Illness, and Displacement
In the silence that follows war, the body begins to tell its story — in pain, in hunger, in the quiet endurance of those who survived when survival itself became an act of defiance.
Because of your compassion and solidarity, my sister Dr. Rasha was evacuated from Gaza to Egypt, where she began her fight against an aggressive form of cancer. Months of chemotherapy and blood transfusions have passed, and she now stands at the final stage of treatment. With only four months left, her body is healing, and her hope is returning. Rasha and my mother, who is 62 years old, have now received visas to Canada and are on their way here.
Their journey, however, is only the beginning of another battle — one of recovery and rebuilding. Rasha will continue her chemotherapy and psychological therapy in Canada, and my mother, who has endured chronic pain and untreated conditions while displaced in Egypt, will finally have consistent medical care. I am covering both of their treatment expenses, from hospital bills to daily medications and housing as they transition into a safe life.
My brother Feras, still trapped in Gaza, has been diagnosed with a severe heart condition that requires urgent surgery. His heart has grown weak after years of untreated infection, malnutrition, and the constant trauma of survival. Each day without medical attention deepens the danger he faces.
And my father, now in his mid-seventies, is in what doctors describe as starvation mode — his body worn thin by months of food scarcity and dehydration. Once a strong man who worked endlessly for his children, he now drifts between weakness and confusion, his health deteriorating with every passing day.
Two of my youngest family members, Mira and Karim, have also suffered deeply. Both are struggling with recurring seizures, a result of prolonged malnutrition and psychological trauma. They need immediate neurological assessments and consistent medication once evacuated to Egypt and, hopefully, Canada.
This campaign will help cover:
• Rasha’s ongoing chemotherapy and therapy in Canada
• My mother’s medical treatments and living costs
• Feras’s heart surgery and post-operative care
• My father’s nutritional and medical rehabilitation
• Mira and Karim’s neurological treatment and medications
The ceasefire that began in October 2025 offers a fragile promise — a chance to heal, to rebuild, to bring my family together again. Every contribution you make is more than aid; it is a breath of life returning to a family that has known only struggle.
Your help saved one life already.
Together, we can save the rest.
